With Brian willing to lead us through the pokey and scrapey poison ivy infested back-trails of the Flatirons, we were off after work to tackle Schmoe's Nose. Got to see the real Tangen Tunnel area - quite fun! Though a little exposed in one section. A bit of a scramble up onto the lower tree infested rock section of the Nose to the base of the climb. Lots of overgrown lichen climbing awaits, with lots of run-out between protection. The boogers live up to the hype, in that the moves up and over are awkward. I was small enough to squeeze through with my pack on, despite sitting on one of the pieces (left to help prevent some rope drag when Steve climbed up). Above the boogers, it was a simple scamper up the upper rock to the airy summit. Lots of fun. Thanks for the great lead Brian!
